SmartRepricer: Black Hole Pricing Improvements

We’ve made important improvements to how Black Hole Pricing is handled to make repricing more accurate and consistent. The key change is that the Black Hole check is now the final step before any price is sent to Amazon.

This means that even after your Min/Max rules are applied, SmartRepricer will perform one last check to ensure your price doesn’t fall into the Black Hole.

If the price is safe, it’s sent as expected. If it lands in the Black Hole, your designated escape price is applied automatically (eg. $9.99).

Your Min/Max limits always take priority, so the system will never price below or above those boundaries.

This new flow closes the gap that previously allowed a price to end up in the Black Hole after a Min/Max adjustment.
